1. Data stored on your device
Diagnostic reports, custom targets, report notes, and check preferences are stored locally on your device. No account is required to use Network Doctor.
You control this local information. You can remove saved diagnostic reports from Settings by choosing Delete all history. Removing the app also removes its locally stored app data, subject to normal iOS backup behavior.
2. Network requests
A check contacts the Network Doctor diagnostic service and the enabled public HTTPS sites you choose to test. Like other internet requests, those services can receive your IP address and standard connection metadata such as request time, protocol, approximate network region, and response details.
Our infrastructure provider may process limited technical request information to deliver responses, enforce rate limits, support abuse prevention, maintain reliability, and investigate security or operational failures. Network Doctor does not add advertising identifiers to these requests.
3. What we do not use
Network Doctor does not include advertising, cross-app tracking, third-party analytics SDKs, or account profiling. We do not use diagnostic results to build advertising profiles, and Network Doctor does not sell personal data.
4. Sharing and exports
Reports leave the app only when you explicitly use a system sharing or export action. A report can include network identity, public IP or provider information, tested targets, measured values, notes, and diagnostic evidence. Review and redact a report before sending it to another person or organization.
5. Retention
Local reports remain on your device until you delete them or remove the app. Operational request information handled by infrastructure providers may be retained for limited security, reliability, and abuse-prevention periods under their service practices.
6. Children
Network Doctor is a general-purpose utility and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly create profiles about children or request that users submit personal information about them.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app, infrastructure, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the current version.
